Description
Restaurants can be hubs for waste reduction and behavior change, but they often need support to adopt greener practices (reusables, composting, sustainable sourcing, and energy/water efficiency). This action partners with the Chamber of Commerce and the Green Restaurant Association to pilot a program that positions Plymouth as a “green restaurant destination.” A pilot can help participating businesses implement best practices, earn recognition, and attract customers who value sustainability. Success looks like a cohort of participating restaurants, measurable reductions in waste and single-use items, increased composting or recycling where feasible, and a marketable sustainability identity that supports local economic development.
